Unipark

The first school project, my team and I developed a parking app that we named Unipark. Based on both our own and others' experiences, we have noticed that it can be very problematic to park via mobile phone. In Sweden, different parking lots have different owners and often different companies that manage the parking fees. This means that two car parks next to each other can use two completely different parking apps for payment.

We were a group of five people who worked on this task for 3 months. We sat together in groups and worked on the project. We all had different experiences and could learn from each other.

So how did we start? The first thing we needed to do was identify the problem, so we created surveys via google forms. Then we analyzed the results.

Then we came to the conclusion that Lars was our persona. The most people around 50 usually own a car, have children and can easily get stressed. Today's parking apps haven't been much help. Lars gets frustrated and all he wants is for everything to go smoothly and not take much time.

By interviewing our target group and then writing post-it notes based on the answers we received, we developed the features that the users needed. That way, we got a good foundation to stand on when developing the app's content and wireframe.

This is the final result of the app
